Christmas party!

Hello everyone!!  Happy birthday Jesus!!  I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!!  I hope your day has been filled with happiness!  It has been a fast moving year!  I can't believe it is already Christmas!

Mani Ingredients
Base polish-China Glaze Emerald Sparkle and OPI This gown needs a crown
Stamping polish-Pure Ice Silver Mercedes
Image plate-Pueen 38
Top coat-Seche Vite

I love this beautiful green!  I need to wear dark green more because the more I look at this the more beautiful I think it is!  Of course both polishes are untried because I have an extreme hoarding problem.  I wish we had a Christmas party to attend this year because I would have totally worn this sparkly mani!

What colors would you use for your Christmas party mani??  Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas movie inspired...

Hey everyone!  I am trying to finish up this challenge so that I do not have to post after Christmas since its a getting ready for Christmas challenge.  I should have did a better job of preparing.  I did enjoy this challenge though!

Mani Ingredients
Base color-Sinful Colors Sail La Vie and Kleancolor I do, Romeo
Image plates-Shany SH207 and CF01
Stamping polish-Kleancolor Black
Fill in colors-Acrylic paint Bella Bright White and Folk Art Metallic Bright Red
Top Coat-Seche Vite

I chose A Charlie Brown Christmas for my movie.  I have never seen it but I got my new plates that have Snoopy on them and knew I wanted to incorporate the cute little image!  I need to get this movie to watch with my boys because my 9 year old doesn't even know who Snoopy is.  That is like some general knowledge you need right??  LOL!  Below is the pic where I got my inspiration.

What is your favorite Christmas movie??  My favorites are the Home Alone movies.  Thanks for stopping by!

The Christmas Red...

Hey everyone!  Hope your having a great day!  Today's prompt is "Christmas Red".  I really am not a red nail polish person.  I only have a handful...well maybe two handful of red nail polishes.  Compared to my other colors I barely have red.  I do love the color just not on me so much.  It has to be a pretty special red polish for me to pick it up.  This red I am wearing in this mani is beautiful!

Mani Ingredients
Base polish-China Glaze Ruby pumps
Stamping polish-Pure Ice Silver Mercedes
Image plate-Bundle Monster BM-408
Top coat-Seche Vite

This is such a pretty polish!  I didn't want to cover the whole design so I went with a simple and small design.  I love how it turned out.  I decided I didn't want to take it off after I finished the mani.  I love the silver with the added sparkle within the Ruby Pumps polish.  So pretty!

What is your favorite red for Christmas??  Thanks for stopping by!

All I want for Christmas...

Hello everyone!  I hope you are doing great!  I am enjoying my time off work!  I need to get some more posts added to my archive so that I will quit missing posts.  Matte Monday has suffered this holiday season.  It is hard sometimes to carve out time for my blog as two kids, a husband and a job keeps me with a full plate.  I know you all can relate.

Mani Ingredients
Base polish-China Glaze That's shore bright and OPI It's frosty outside
Stamping polish-Pure Ice Silver Mercedes
Image plates-Vivid Lacquer VL 009, Bundle Monster BM-405

If you can't tell I just want love from my family!  I just enjoy spending time with all my boys!  I love loving them, living with them and laughing with them!  :)  I am really not a gift person.  I love to give gifts but I have never been one to request or make a gift list.  If I want something I usually just get it when I can.  I really loved wearing this mani!  I love this purple its like a neon pastel if that is even a color.  My bottle doesn't self level very well but top coat fixes that in no time.

What do you want for Christmas??  Thanks for stopping by!

Snowflakes manicure...

Hello everyone!  I hope that you are having a great day!  Today's prompt is snowflakes.  I had such a hard time deciding on a color because I have purchased so many new polishes.

Mani Ingredients
Base color-OPI DS Extravagance
Image plate-Bundle Monster BM-323
Stamping polish-Pure Ice Silver Mercedes
Top coat-Seche Vite

I love this base color so much!  I know this is not a traditional nail art design for snowflakes but I love it!  I hated to take this one off!  Extravagance is so beautiful!  I love the holographic flakes in the polish!

What colors do you think look pretty with snowflakes??  Thanks for stopping by!

Blue and silver...

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all doing well!  Today's prompt is blue and silver.  I think this is another great color combo for Christmas!

Mani Ingredients
Base colors-OPI My boyfriend scales walls and Servin' up sparkle and Sally Hansen Pacific Blue and Celeb City
Stamping polish-Sally Hansen In Prompt Blue
Image plate-Konad s6
Top coat-Seche Vite

I love the look of this!  It was a bit simple but I enjoyed the colors together!  I wanted to add a little something to the stamped nail but decided against it.  Sometimes simple and sweet is beautiful and better.

What is your favorite blue for the winter??  Thanks for stopping by!

Simple and Sweet...

Hello everyone!  I hope your having a great day!  I have a simple and sweet mani for you today!  I had an interview (again) about two weeks ago so I needed something not too flashy for my nails.  So I pulled out an untried that was perfect for the occasion.

Mani Ingredients
Base color-OPI Nomad's Dream
Stamping polish- Kleancolor Metallic Red
Image plate-Unnamed one from Walmart gift set
Top coat-Seche Vite

I love this combo!  I know some of you would not put this much color on your nails for an interview but I really think this is subtle for me.  I love this Nomad's Dream.  I have never used it before but I have fallen in love!  I think it has some what of a duo chrome look to it.  I see some flashes of green in there every once and a while.  It actually is very similar to my skin tone.

How do you feel about colors that somewhat match your skin tone??  Thanks for stopping by!

Red and gold...

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone is doing well!  Today's prompt is red and gold.  I think this is a beautiful combination for Christmas time.  My first post ever featured red and gold polish!  The pictures were terrible.  Not that my pictures are much better now but I am attempting to do better with my pictures.  Please don't judge me.  I think they have come a long way making the way shorter that I need to go.  Yeah...just confused myself with that sentence.  LOL!  On to the mani...

Mani Ingredients
Base polish-Color Club Berry and Bright
Stamping polish-China Glaze Passion
Image plate-Bundle Monster BM-SE1
Top coat-Seche Vite

I got an odd surprise when I put on this Color Club polish.  It smells like berries.  I had no idea it was a scented polish.  I purchased it last year on a clearance sale at Sally's and this is the first time I have used it.  It is a deep rich beautiful color!  The downfall is it takes eight nine years to dry.  LOL!  I have never used such a slow drying polish!  I was a bit aggravated at the super slow dry time.

How do you deal with slow drying polishes??  What do you think of scented polishes??  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Under the mistletoe...

Hello everyone!  Today's prompt is under the mistletoe.  I had so many ideas for this mani but decided to keep it simple and focus on what happens under the mistletoe!  Random fact... I have never seen a mistletoe in person and definitely never kissed under one.  Oh well maybe one day right??

Mani Ingredients
Base polish-OPI Its totally Fort Worth it
Stamping polishes-Kleancolor Metallic Pink and Color Club Revvvolution
Image plates-Cheeky CH27, Konad m12 and Bundle Monster BM302
Top coat-Seche Vite

I must admit I was so excited in how good my stamper decal turned out.  The only regret I have about this mani is I wish I would have used a pearl white polish for the base.  I think it would have looked much better.  We are our own worst critic huh??  LOL!  I will be trying more simple stamping decals before I try a full nail decal.  I am still a bit nervous about wrinkling.  I only got a bit of wrinkling this time but I think with practice I can get it down!

Is this stamper decal even a mistletoe??  Have you ever seen one in real life??  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Glitter overload...

Hey everyone!  I hope your doing well!  Today I have the second prompt for the "Getting Ready for Christmas" challenge.  I got some limited edition Beauty Brand exclusive nail polishes and used them both for this mani.  I could have went more glittered out but I wanted to show the beautiful jewel toned polish underneath.

Mani Ingredients
Base color-OPI Teal me how chic I look
Gradient color-OPI Glitterchic
Top coat-Seche Vite

I love this combo!  I purchased these about two weeks ago and I was itching to wear them!  Not only are they beautiful they were only $4.98 a piece and...I had a $5 gift card that Beauty Brands mailed me!  I was so happy to pick up both of these polishes!

Have you ever shopped at Beauty Brands??  Thanks for stopping by!

Matte Monday: Glitter and Zig zags...

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend!  I was glad it wasn't as cold as it has been around here this weekend. I do love the fall but winter is just a bit too cold for me! I am now getting a bit excited that Christmas is coming up! This year went by really fast but I definately have enjoyed it. Of course their are always good and bad times but I can honestly say that my family has had a pretty good year.

Mani Ingredients
Base colors-China Glaze Exotic Encounters and Angel Wings
Image plate-Messy Mansion MM12
Stamping polish-China Glaze Passion
Top coats-Seche Vite and OPI Matte Top Coat

I love this Exotic Encounters color!  I have never use it before and I don't know why! Actually I think I have used it once but can't remember what I did with it. That means I have not used it enough. Have you ever "rediscovered" a polish you haven't used in a while?? I guess I need to slow down my purchasing. Thanks for stopping by!

Not yet but almost...

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!  I chose to do nothing but enjoy things I have not had a chance to enjoy and I loved every minute of it!  I finished one of my books I have had over a year and it was so good I want to read it again.  I do need to apologize for no Thanksgiving mani's.  I did some on my nails but took no pictures.  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I can't believe I didn't post a single mani.

I have joined a new challenge called the "Getting Ready for Christmas" Challenge.  Something I think is neat with this challenge is you can do a makeup or mani post for most of the prompts.  I love that this challenge allows for two different things to come together.  I also love that Elsa is sharing the posts on her Pinterest and Facebook page.  Since I do not have Facebook this is great to possibly bring more attention to my blog.  I will post the banner below just in case you want to join.  Another awesome thing about this challenge is you can post whenever you can.  There is no set day.  This is a great option for me because as you know life happens and sometimes you can't be as devoted as you would like to be all the time.

Mani Ingredients
Base colors- OPI DS Illuminate and Color Club Gingerbread
Stamping polish-Konad White
Image plate- Gals GA 41
Top coat-Seche Vite

The reason I chose this and chose this design is my oldest son always has to do a gingerbread house.  Every Christmas I try to find the cheapest one because we never eat it we just like to make them.  Its fun and we joke and laugh while attempting to make our gingerbread house look like the picture on the box...yeah never does.  LOL.  It is still a fun family time for us.

What are some traditions your family does to get ready for Christmas??  Thanks so much for stopping by!
