Duo Chrome...

Hey everyone!  I hope everyone is having a good day!  I wanted to say thank you to my followers!! I truly appreciate you taking the time to come by and comment!  Today is the duo chrome day!  I had a hard time scaling it down to one duo chrome but as I stated a few posts ago I am trying to use plates and polishes I have not used before.  So today I used Spoiled Paying with Platinum.  It took three thick coats, ended up with many bubbles and couldn't get good pictures to show off the purple and green duo chrome but it is beautiful!  What do you think of it??

Mani Ingredients
Base color-Spoiled Paying with Platinum
Square black rhinestones-eBay
Top coat-Seche Vite

I have had this for quite some time and just now used it.  I like the color but wish it was easier to photograph.  Have you tried this polish??

Skittle mani...

Hey all!  I hope everyone has had a great weekend!  We had a somewhat busy Saturday but fun!  It was also Big Brother's last basketball game.  He is such a good basketball player!  I just love to watch him play.  Hubby of course coaches the team.  He is so good with the kids and they just love him!  I really didn't get a chance to take pictures this season though.  I wish I had.

I have my skittles mani for you all today.  I am obsessed with this mani and hated to take this off.  I love love love this color combo.  You can always click on the pictures to make them larger.  Don't let the gradient trick you on the pinkie nail it was done with a stamp!!  I have been wanting to use that stamp so badly and finally found a good use for it.

Polarized Orange Cream Mushrooms...

Hello all!  Wait until you see this polish today.  I follow Lacquer Lockdown.  She posted about this new Sinful Colors collection called Sugar Rush.  She did a water marble with all the colors(something I dread doing!  Hate the clean up!).  You know I had to go check them out.  I went to Walgreen's and they had them!!  Of course I picked up most of the colors but left a few as I already have some that are similar to the pink ones.  I still may go back and get them later but for now I am satisfied.  It is a shock to find the polishes at Walgreen's because the stores around here where I live NEVER get the new polishes.  Our Walmart's do not even have these new Pure Ice displays everyone keeps talking about.  Uggg... Here is what I came up with:

Mani Ingredients
Base color-Sinful Colors Orange Cream
Accent nails-China Glaze Polarized
Stamping polish-Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Presto Pewter
Image plate-Winstonia W110
Top Coat- Seche Vite

So lets talk about this Orange Cream...Oh my goodness this color is so pretty!  It has a very faint silver shimmer.  The only problem is once I applied the top coat it went away but I am in no way complaining because I love the color!!  I had to do light stamping because I love love love this polish!!  I know I just said a few weeks ago I was not going to buy any more nail stamping plates but I have been really wanting the design that looks like a sweater.  Well when I saw these Winstonia plates and they had that sweater image I had to purchase them!  You can see all the designs here.  They are also available on amazon.  I chose to purchase from the website because they were cheaper and they emailed me a 10% off coupon so of course I used the coupon to justify me purchasing more plates.  Lol!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Let me know what you think of this new polish and if you will pick up some of the new colors!

Crumpet's February Amateur Nail Art Contest...

The theme of the month of February's Amateur Contest is "Love and Heartbreak".  It can be lovey dovey or anti-Valentine.  Of course since I LOVE Valentine's mani's I chose lovey dovey.  One secret I tend to keep is that I love gradients but I do them with acrylic paint most of the time.  It saves on clean up time and it gives it a much smother transition to me.  After that top coat dries just wash your hands and the water based acrylic paint comes right off!  The acrylic paint dries so fast!!  Give it a try and let me know how it works for you.

This is also the first time I even attempted to use magnetic polish.  Mine did not magnetize well until the last finger on my hand I did not even photograph.  I learned a few things I can do differently next time.  I do love the effect though.

Mani Ingredients
Gradient nails:  Sinful Colors Beverly Hills and Folk Art Acrylic Paint in Bright Pink
Accent nails:  Nabi Magnetic Silver and Nicole by OPI Step2 the Beat of Me
Stamping:  Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Presto Pewter
Glitter polish on gradient nails:  China Glaze Fairy Dust
Stamping plate:  Bundle Monster BM-317
Top Coat:  NYC Grand Central Station Quick Dry

I know I do not have many followers yet but I want to ask the few I have to please vote for me in this contest.  The link is here.  If you do vote for me thank you so much!  If not I still thank you for stopping by today!  Thanks again!

Beautiful blue bows...

Hello everyone!  I did this mani over a week ago but never found the time to edit the pictures and get it posted.  Since we are home today due to it being a snow day (woot woot!) I have time to get this posted.  Baby brother is sleeping so I don't have to worry about him trying to punch keys.  Lol!  He is getting so big!  We got him a jumper this week and he is loving that thing!  He just jumps away!  It plays music and has all types of toys around it and he has the time of his life if in!  Anyway this is what I came up with...simple, cute and I really loved it!

Mani Ingredients
Base color: Essie Bikini So Teeny
Stamping color: Color Club Gift of Sparkle
Image plate: Born Pretty Store Fauxnad m76
Top Coat: NYC Grand Central Station Quick Dry
Half pearls are from eBay

What do you think of this mani??  Have you tried the half pearls in your nail art??  This is my first time and I liked them!

Favorite color family...

Hey everyone!  Hope your doing well!  I have my favorite color family mani to share with you.  Awkwardly...my favorite colors are pink and black.  For some reason pink and black are my favorite but on my nails I have a love for teals and turquoises!!  So for my favorite color family I chose teals and turquoises.

I used my regular base coat and used a base color of Essie Where's My Chauffeur?  On my ring finger and thumb I added one thick coat of Color Club Holiday Splendor.  This Holiday Splendor is the most beautiful holographic glitter polish!  I just love it!  On my pinkie, middle finger and index finger I stamped using bornprettystore image plate m81 using Kleancolor Metallic Aqua and filling in the cheetah print with the Holiday Splendor.  I topped the whole mani off with NYC Quick Dry Grand Central Station top coat.  These are the beautiful results...

What do you think??  Is your favorite color your favorite on your nails??

Purple goodness...

Hello everyone!  I am obsessed with this polish today!!  I am very disappointed with Kleancolor for the name they gave this polish.  I am so obsessed with this polish that I could not bring myself to stamp over its beauty!  I won this polish in a giveaway on Dandynails youtube channel.  One of the first times I have ever won anything!  In addition my many winnings in this giveaway is what started my extreme nail polish addiction...  Say hello to Kleancolor's Holo Chrome...

It only took two decent coats to become completely opaque.  I have used so much of this and my bottle is getting low but I still love this polish!  I topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite but it did not play well with my Kleancolor.  So this mani only lasted one day as I began to pick the edges...

Precious Pink...

Hey all!!  I have my pink mani for you today!  I wanted to do a bold pink but decided to go with a softer delicate pink.

For this mani I used Revlon Popular on my ring finger and thumb.  I had to do 3 coats to get it opaque enough for my liking.  On my pinkie, middle finger and index finger I used China Glaze Something Sweet.  On these three fingers I also stamped with a teal L.A. Colors metallic polish and Bundle Monster Image plate BM-317.  These are the results...

This mani is very dainty to me.  I did not want to stamp with black because I did not want the stamp to over power the delicate pink.  I fell in love with this color combo!

Glittery Gold...

Hello all!  Today I have my gold mani for you!  The gold I decided to use is so pretty I did not want to cover up that much of it so I chose a simple stamp to enhance this mani.

I started with my base coat and then applied OPI Goldeneye to all my nails.  Goldeneye is so pretty!  The only problem I had with it is it chipped within hours. :(  I think I will try Seche Vite next time to seal in my nail polish instead of NYC.  I then used Mash black stamping polish and image plate KD 12 for my ring finger and thumb.  Next I used Mash black stamping polish and image plate QA 39 for my pinkie, middle finger and index finger.  I topped the whole mani off with NYC Grand Central Station top coat.  This is what I ended up with...

Before I began this mani I remembered I had some plates with the Louis Vuitton logo and patterns.  So I went to google and found the pictures below of the bracelet, hat and comforter and decided to use it as my inspiration.  Very pretty bracelet! I do not have one but would love to have this particular bracelet because it is pretty!

Beyond another Valentines mani...

Hey all!  I wanted to do another mani for Valentine's day.  I used Color Club Beyond as my base color.  Unfortunately it has been super cloudy here with no sun what so ever so I am not going to be able to show you the amazing holo in this polish!  I actually did not get to see the holo myself.  I am crying holographic tears...  I stamped with Revlon Chrome Top Speed polish in Punch Chrome using Salon Express image plate in SE 18 on my thumb and ring finger.  I topped off the whole mani with NYC Grand Central Station Quick Dry top coat.
Not many pictures as they are very disappointing... I will bring this polish back when we get some sun because it is beautiful!  I hope everyone is having a great weekend!  What do you think of this mani??  Have you tried this holographic polish??   Thanks for stopping by!

Silver...

Hello everyone!  Hope everyone is doing well!  I am on to the next mani of the laid back challenge.  Today is silver.  I am really having fun with the challenge so far.  I am also challenging myself to use some of the hundreds of stamping plates I own and have never used and also untried nail polishes.  I have so many pretty colors and beautiful images on my plates but I am not getting to them on a normal basis.  I tend to gravitate to the same polishes instead of trying my new ones.  Do you ever do that??

I started out with my base coat and added two coats of China Glaze Icicle.  On my ring finger and thumb I painted two coats of OPI Servin' Up Sparkle.  I then used Kleancolor Metallic Fuchsia and Shany stamping plate SH 218 on my pinkie, middle finger and index finger.  I topped the entire mani off with the NYC Grand Central Station quick dry top coat.  I am really loving this top coat!!  It does not smear, it is super thick (I do not like to feel the gritty glitter) and it drys so fast!!  Where has this top coat been all my life??  This is the results...

I guess this could still somewhat pass as a Valentine's mani.  What do you think?  I was going to put a single set of lips on my ring finger and thumb but I did not want to stamp over the glitter.  I would have put more glitter on each nail but I thought it was perfect the way it was.  What are your thoughts on this mani??

Black & White Mani

Hey everyone!  This prompt for the challenge is black and white!  I never get enough of black and white mani's.  Since my first black and white mani went horribly wrong in my eye, I decided to keep it fairly simple.  It just wasn't my best work.  You know how you do a mani and you either dislike it or it simply did not come out the way you wanted it to??  Yeah that last one..was one of those.  LOL!  But seriously...

So for this mani I used one coat of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Black Platinum on my ring finger and thumb.  I used two coats of an unnamed Bonita polish on top of the Black Platinum.  This Bonita polish is a black jelly based polish with small silver glitter, and small hex glitters in addition there are large circle glitters.  Very pretty polish for you dark nail color lovers.  I got the Bonita polish in a set of like 7 polishes for $5.99 at Ross.  I love those sets at Ross I just wish they would put names on all their polishes!!!  I do not know why it bothers me but it does.  OCD strikes again!  Anyway I have two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls on my pinkie, middle and index fingers.  I was feeling shimmery today so I added a coat of Finger Paints Private Collection.  I absolutely love this shimmer!  You can add it to any polish and it is beautiful!  I then stamped on the shimmery white nails with Mash Black and Pueen stamping plate Pueen 02.  I topped off the whole mani with NYC Grand Central Station quick dry top coat.  This is the outcome...
I think this turned out much much better than my last black and white mani.  I am also surprised I did not add a pop of color.  I just want to stick with the "rules".  LOL!  I have so many ideas and new plates or untried plates that I am going to use in this challenge so stay tuned!  Do you plan to participate in the challenge??  Thanks so much for stopping by!
